NHRC urges Prez Paudel to seek political wayout upholding HR, democracy and rule of law

The NHRC also said it has been holding regular consultations with President Poudel and other concerned stakeholders to ensure that these fundamental principles remain central to the ongoing negotiation process.

KATHMANDU, Sep 12: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has urged President Ram Chandra Poudel to take appropriate steps to safeguard human rights, strengthen democracy, and ensure peace and the rule of law in the country.



Issuing a press statement on Friday, the constitutional body expressed confidence that the President will take necessary measures in this regard as he tries to find a way out to the current political stalemate.
