KATHMANDU, May 23: The responsibility of Deputy Governors at Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has been divided. Governor Bishwo Nath Paudel has assigned the duties between the two Deputy Governors, Nilam Dhungana and Bam Bahadur Mishra.
Accordingly, Dhungana has been assigned responsibility for the Bank and Financial Institution Regulation Department, Non-Banking Financial Institution Supervision Department, Microfinance Supervision Department, Foreign Exchange Management Department, Currency Management Department, Corporate Planning and Risk Management Department, Asset and Service Management Department, Information Technology Department, and the Provincial Offices.

Similarly, Mishra has been assigned to the Bank Supervision Department, Financial Institution Supervision Department, Economic Research Department, Monetary Management Department, Payment Systems Department, Banking Department, Human Resource Management Department, and Finance Management Department. Only the Governor’s Office is arranged to be directly managed by the Governor.
After the term of Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari ended and Dhungana was appointed as the acting Governor, all departmental responsibilities were assigned to Bam Bahadur. After the new Governor was appointed and Dhungana returned as Deputy Governor, the responsibilities were reshuffled again.
