KATHMANDU, July 17: The newly appointed Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA), Bhagawati Neupane, assumed office on Wednesday evening at the ministry located in Singha Durbar.
Upon her arrival, Secretary Rabi Lal Panth and other ministry officials welcomed her. After taking office, Minister Neupane approved a file concerning the formation of a committee—led by the head of the Federal Affairs Division and comprising representatives from concerned agencies—to draft a proposal within three months to standardize organizational and management surveys across the federal, provincial, and local levels.

The Government of Nepal’s policy and program for the fiscal year 2025/26 includes a provision to formulate and implement national standards for the organization and management of federal, provincial, and local governments.
Following the resignation of Rajkumar Gupta as MoFAGA after being involved in a Rs 7.8 million bribery audiotape scandal, Minister Neupane was appointed as the new minister on Tuesday. She took the oath of office and the oath of secrecy on Wednesday.
