KATHMANDU, May 25: In the charming city of Seattle, surrounded by vast lakes and snow-covered mountains, Nepathya delivered a grand presence. The band entertained the audience fully by presenting both new and old folk songs.
Nepathya performed in Seattle for the first time during their seventh tour of America. This was their second concert on this year’s America tour. A week earlier, Nepathya had held their first concert in Austin, the capital of the state of Texas.
The doors of Seattle’s ‘Moore Theatre’ opened exactly at 7 pm on Friday evening as scheduled, and the show started an hour later. When Nepathya’s lead singer Amrit Gurung began to sing, the audience sang along, danced, and enjoyed themselves.

Fans, who love music from all over the world, had gathered to enjoy the leading band that has been connecting audiences through Nepali culture. Nepali people from various places had come to watch the concert. Even Nepali spectators had arrived from Canada to enjoy the show in the American land.
The audience was not only Nepali; foreign faces were also seen. Among them were the duo John Symington and Cole Foreman. John, who had served Nepal for a long time as a representative of an international NGO during the earthquake, had also acquired some knowledge of the Nepali language and culture.
During the concert, lead singer Amrit also shared his experiences of researching the songs he was performing. His remarks about the country’s situation and the expectations of Nepalis living abroad were equally appreciated by the audience here, just as they were elsewhere.
On stage, lead singer and leader Amrit was supported by Dhruva Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Neeraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dinesh Raj Regmi on keyboard.
After Austin, Texas, and Seattle, Washington, the band moved slightly south to Los Angeles, California for their third performance. The band will perform folk rock songs on May 26 at the 'House of Blues' in this city, which is home to Hollywood, considered the world's leading film production hub.
The band will then perform in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 31; Chicago, Illinois on June 7; Boston, Massachusetts on June 11; and finally in Greensboro, North Carolina on June 14.
