KATHMANDU, July 12: A six-member delegation of Nepali students has departed for Japan to participate in the 2025 Asian-Pacific Children's Convention (APCC), an annual international cultural exchange program to be held in Fukuoka.
The APCC is designed to promote friendship and mutual understanding among children from the Asia-Pacific region. Highlighting the significance of the program, Laiba Ryan, Nepal’s APCC Brand Ambassador, said it has played a meaningful role in nurturing global peace and cooperation from an early age.

“This year, the Nepali delegation will represent the country’s national identity, unity, culture, and spirit on a global stage,” she said.
Ryan described it as a matter of pride for Nepal to showcase its rich cultural heritage in such an international forum. “Nepal’s participation helps share our culture and traditional attire with the world,” she added.
The APCC provides a unique opportunity for children from various countries to exchange traditions, build lasting friendships, and develop a spirit of global citizenship through cross-cultural learning.
