KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Nepal Telecom has urged its subscribers to remain vigilant against recent fraudulent attempts targeting mobile users through various fake alert IDs.
In recent days, Nepal Telecom customers have received messages stating: “Dear valued customer, your Connect IPS account has been locked. Please verify…”. These messages are designed to lure users into opening different URL links, after which they are prompted to enter their Connect IPS username and password, allowing fraudsters to steal their information, Nepal Telecom informed.

Nepal Telecom has requested its subscribers never to open such links or submit personal information anywhere.
Additionally, the company advises that any service-related information should only be viewed from the company’s official website, Facebook, or X (formerly Twitter) pages with a verified blue tick, and that information should be relied upon only from these official sources.
