Nepal shines at BITE 2025 in Beijing, wins “Best Popularity Award”

Many trade queries revolved around connectivity options, trek routes, seasonal preferences, and value-for-money travel packages, indicating high demand from the high-end buyers. Nepal pavilion was honored with the “Best Popularity Award” highlighting its exceptional visitors engagement in BITE 2025.

BEIJING, June 30: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has concluded its participation at the Beijing International Tourism Expo (BITE) in Beijing, with a strong impression to travel trade representatives and the potential travelers from Beijing. The fair was held from June 27 to 29 at China International Exhibition Centre, Chaoyang district, Beijing.



The fair served as a significant platform for promoting Nepal’s rich tourism offerings and meaningful engagement of B2B networking in the first two days and B2C interactions on the third day.


The Nepali stall was located at Booth 6B12 in Hall 6. The Nepal Pavilion attracted a steady stream of visitors throughout the expo. Both trade and visitors have shown their keen interest in Nepal’s soft adventure experiences, spiritual and cultural circuits, and short-haul getaways. Many trade queries revolved around connectivity options, trek routes, seasonal preferences, and value-for-money travel packages, indicating high demand from the high-end buyers. NTB conducted a dedicated destination presentation on the sideline session of the fair, emphasizing Nepal’s readiness to welcome tourists with its unparalleled blend of nature, culture, adventure, and hospitality. The board requested China’s trade to collaborate with the travel trades and jointly create lifetime experiences for the visitors from China in Nepal. The Nepal team also organized a short quiz session with the participants and awarded them with handmade Nepali souvenirs.


The Nepal Pavilion was notable for its captivating depiction of the nation's rich cultural and historical heritages, and exhilarating adventure offerings that arose from the majestic Himalayas. In addition to offering their finest packages, the private travel agencies emphasized Nepal's ability to provide a wide range of travel experiences.


On the second day of the fair, Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka along with Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Nepal Roshan Khanal, and higher officials of the Embassy of Nepal visited the Nepal stall and added encouragement to the delegation. During the Minister’s visit to the Nepal Pavilion, he praised the unified efforts of the NTB and the participating companies in enhancing Nepal’s brand as one of the popular travel destinations in China and encouraged the Nepal team for continued presence in China’s first and second tier cities.

Ltd along with NTB Officials Suman Ghimire and Gopal Bhandari participated and  had meaningful sideline meetings with the representatives of Maldives and Saint Petersburg, Russia for strengthening bilateral tourism promotion in respective countries. 


Nepal’s presence at BITE 2025 has reaffirmed Nepal’s appeal in China's mainland outbound market and strengthened its bilateral trade and tourism partnerships. NTB looks forward to translating these engagements into increased arrivals and enriched experiences for visitors from Beijing and surrounding cities and beyond.
