KATHMANDU, August 9: Nepal recorded 3,651 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday along with 1,784 recoveries and 22 deaths.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 16,594 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Monday, of them 3,651 tests turned out to be positive.

There are currently 36,288 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 32,907 are in home isolation, 3,381 in institutional institutions, 741 in ICUs, 186 on ventilators and 441 in quarantine as of Monday afternoon.
Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 959 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday. Of them, 624 were detected in Kathmandu, 170 in Bhaktapur and 165 in Lalitpur districts.
