Nepal Police urges return of looted uniforms and equipment

According to preliminary findings, some individuals managed to seize police property amid the demonstrations.

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: Nepal Police has appealed to the public to return weapons, communication devices, uniforms and other items looted during the protests from Sept 8 to 10.



According to preliminary findings, some individuals managed to seize police property amid the demonstrations. In a statement issued today, the Police Headquarters requested that such items be returned immediately to the nearest police office to prevent misuse.

“There is a risk of criminal activities being carried out using police uniforms or equipment,” the statement read, “We urge the public to cooperate by ensuring these materials are not misused and to inform police immediately if they witness any illegal use.”
