Nepal Engineers’ Association to provide technical assistance for free in reconstruction

NEA's General Secretary Binod Prakash Pandit said that assessment and reconstruction efforts would be supported by providing technical assistance for free.

KATHMANDU, Sept 15: The Nepal Engineers' Association, the umbrella organization of the country's engineers, has announced to provide technical assistance for free for the assessment of damages caused during the Gen-Z protests and reconstruction efforts.



Issuing a press statement, NEA's General Secretary Binod Prakash Pandit said that assessment and reconstruction efforts would be supported by providing technical assistance for free.

"The hard work, labour and expertise of Nepal's technical human resources is crucial in the reconstruction works of the physical properties damaged in the earthquakes of 1990 BS and 2072 BS. The Association has wished to continue this support in the coming," according to Pandit. 


The NEA on Sunday began preliminary assessments of buildings of the Supreme Court (SC), Kathmandu District Court and Nepal Bar Association, Association's President Subash Chandra Baral shared.


Baral added that the assessment cover the instant inspection of the physical properties, risk assessment, alternative management planning, and feasibility studies for the reconstruction bids.
