Former Nepali Ambassador to China, Rajeshwor Acharya, said that the Nepal–China relationship—rooted in the principles of peaceful coexistence, mutual cooperation, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, and non-interference—has been accorded high priority by both nations. He added that the top leadership of both countries has remained active in further strengthening bilateral ties.

As a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, China continues to play a decisive role in global politics. Acharya noted that China emphasizes a rules-based global governance system, international peace and security, and shared development through collaboration and partnership.

He further suggested that Nepal should derive maximum benefit from China’s rise as a global power and channel it toward the country’s path to prosperity.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to attend a reception hosted this evening by Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, to mark the occasion, according to the PM's private secretariat.
