KATHMANDU, May 23: The Nepali national women’s football team has been announced for the upcoming friendly matches against Thailand. Head Coach Rajendra Tamang revealed a 23-member squad today.
Nepal is scheduled to play two matches in Bangkok. The first will be held behind closed stadium on May 30, followed by an official international friendly on June 2.

These matches are part of Nepal’s preparation for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026 qualifiers, which begin on June 4. Nepal is placed in Group 'F' alongside hosts Uzbekistan, Laos, and Sri Lanka. Only the group winner will qualify for the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
The goalkeeping lineup for the Nepali national women’s football team includes Anjila Tumbapo Subba, who will lead the team as captain, along with Anjana Rana Magar and Usha Nath.
The defensive line features Amrita Jaishi, Gita Rana, Bimala BK, Puja Rana, Nisha Thokar, Samiksha Ghimire, and Man Maya Damai. In the midfield, Nepal will be represented by Anita Basnet, Bimala Chaudhary, Renuka Nagarkoti, Preeti Rai, Saru Limbu, Sabita Rana Magar, Saraswati Hamal, and Sushma Tamang. The forward line includes Sabitra Bhandari, Rashmi Kumari Ghising, Chandra Bhandari, Anita KC, and Rekha Paudel.
