KATHMANDU, June 9: The National Assembly has passed the ‘Ship (Operation and Management) Bill 2081 BS’.
In today's meeting of the assembly, the proposal presented by Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Devendra Dahal, to pass the bill was unanimously approved.

Before that, the assembly had unanimously approved the proposal to hold discussions on the ‘Ship (Operation and Management) Bill, 2081, along with the report of the Legislative Management Committee.’ Lawmakers Suresh Kumar Ale Magar, Rukmini Koirala, Taraman Swar, Dr Bedu Ram Bhusal, and Bishnu Bahadur Bishwakarma participated in the discussion on the proposal.
Responding to the questions raised during the discussion on the proposal, Minister Dahal expressed confidence that the presented bill would pave the way for operating water vessels on internal waterways and enable Nepal to gain access to the sea through water routes.
The next meeting of the National Assembly will be held on Friday, June 13 at 1:15 pm.
