National Assembly passes five substitution bills

The five substitution bills sent by the House of Representatives (HoR) were passed by the National Assembly in a single session, clearing the way for the ordinances to become law.

KATHMANDU, March 31: The National Assembly has passed bills to replace five ordinances by majority votes. National Assembly speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal confirmed that all the bills were passed by majority of lawmakers on Monday.



The five substitution bills sent by the House of Representatives (HoR) were passed by the National Assembly in a single session, clearing the way for the ordinances to become law.

The HoR passed five replacement bills on March 17 and 19 and sent them to the National Assembly for approval.


The passed bills includes the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Good Governance Promotion and Public Service Delivery (Amendment), 2081; Cooperatives Bill, 2081 BS; Economic Procedure and Financial Responsibility (First Amendment) Bill, 2081 BS; Privatization (First Amendment) Bill 2081 BS and Improvement of the Economic and Business Environment and Investment Promotion Bill, 2081 BS.


The bills were passed by the National Assembly with amendments after clause-wise discussions.
