CHANDRAUTA, June 25: A bomb disposal team of the Nepal Army (NA) defused a bomb planted in front of the residence of Nepali Congress (NC) mayoral candidate Mangal Prasad Tharu at Banganga Municipality of Kapilbastu district.
Police Inspector of the Area Police Office, Pipara, Raju Karki, said that the bomb could have been planted to terrorize the local folks.
Earlier on 18 June, at least 12 persons were wounded after a bomb exploded at Gajehada while the NC candidates were heading to file their nominations for the polls. RSS
