CHITWAN, Sept 22: Vehicular traffic along the Muglin–Narayangarh road has resumed one-way from 5 AM on Monday after being closed overnight due to continuous landslides at Tuin Rivulet in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality–6. The road was shut from 9 PM Sunday until 5 AM Monday as debris kept falling.

The road section had first been blocked on Friday evening and only partially reopened on Sunday afternoon. Another landslide struck at around 8 PM Monday, but authorities cleared the debris overnight, according to Inspector Pratik Singh of the Area Police Office, Muglin.

With heavy vehicle pressure on the route, Inspector Singh urged drivers to remain in their respective lanes and travel cautiously. Passengers stranded for the past two days have now begun reaching their destinations.

Over 10,000 vehicles use this road daily. Until the highway is fully open in both directions, the District Administration Office, Chitwan, has requested travelers to consider alternative routes.
