KATHMANDU, Aug 12: The monsoon’s low-pressure line has shifted further north, resting close to Nepal’s Terai region, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
Windstorm with rainfall likely today

Cloudy skies are expected nationwide this afternoon, with moderate rainfall likely in many hilly areas and a few pockets of the plains, including Madhesh Province and other Terai belts. In Koshi’s hills, some locations may experience heavy showers.
Tonight, cloudy conditions will persist. Moderate rain is forecast for much of the hilly and Terai regions of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with scattered showers elsewhere. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is possible in parts of Madhesh, Koshi, and Bagmati, while a few areas in Gandaki’s hills and Terai, and Lumbini’s Terai, may also see intense rain.
