KATHMANDU, Sept 20: The low-pressure line of the monsoon is currently positioned south of its average track in the west and lies close to its normal location in the east, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
Windstorm with rainfall likely today
The skies are forecast to remain generally cloudy over Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the remaining hilly regions of the country, while the rest of the Tarai is expected to stay partly cloudy. There is a likelihood of moderate rainfall in several places of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, a few places of Madhesh and Gandaki provinces, and in isolated parts of the rest of the country, the MFD reported.
The weather is expected to stay generally overcast in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces and partly cloudy across the rest of the nation. Chances of moderate rainfall remain at a few locations of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places in the remaining hilly regions, the MFD added.
