KATHMANDU, Sept 9: The monsoon trough is currently positioned south of its average location in the west and near its average location in the east, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
Heavy rainfall likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini
The skies are expected to remain generally cloudy in Koshi and Madhesh provinces, as well as in hilly regions, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to mainly fair conditions. Moderate rainfall is likely at some places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places in Madhesh Province, as well as other hilly and Terai regions. The MFD has warned of heavy rainfall at one or two locations in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
By nightfall, skies across the country are expected to remain generally cloudy. Moderate rainfall is likely at some places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places in other hilly and Terai regions. Heavy rainfall may occur at one or two locations in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, the MFD reported.
