Minister Ghising assessed the landslide-affected “eco zone” and gathered updates on the ongoing efforts to reopen the road. Due to the blockage, over a thousand containers carrying goods imported from China for major festivals such as Dashain, Tihar, and Chhath are stranded.

At the site, Ghising instructed the Department of Roads staff and security personnel to utilize all available resources and work at “war-level” intensity to restore highway operations as quickly as possible.
