Minister Bhandari meets WTO representative to discuss Nepal’s third trade policy review

KATHMANDU, July 8: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari held a courtesy meeting with Masahiro Hayafuji, a representative of the World Trade Organization (WTO), on Monday.



The meeting focused on Nepal’s third trade policy review. Discussions included ways to improve Nepal's current trade policy, promote exports, create an investment-friendly environment, and strengthen cooperation with the WTO.

According to the minister's secretariat, both sides explored measures to boost Nepal's trade competitiveness and enhance its presence in the global market. The meeting also expressed expectations to make Nepal’s trade policy more effective, attract foreign investment, promote youth entrepreneurship, and help Nepali goods and services compete internationally.
