KATHMANDU, Sept 16: A mass funeral procession was held on Tuesday for those who lost their lives during the Gen Z movement on September 8.
Bodies that had been kept at the mortuary of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital were taken for cremation. While some families had already received the remains of their loved ones earlier, the funeral procession in Kathmandu was organized for the remaining deceased.

The Lalitpur Metropolitan City arranged vehicles for the procession. Those from within the Kathmandu Valley were taken to Pashupati Aryaghat for cremation, while preparations were made to transport bodies belonging to families outside the Valley by helicopter for handover.
