KATHMANDU, Sep 13: KATHMANDU: Senior Vice-Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Narayan Kaji Shrestha has said that holding the general election on the announced date must be the central focus of the government.
Shrestha took to Facebook to put forward four key demands with a stress to hold elections on the declared date, within six months. He also demanded action against corrupt individuals to ensure good governance and called for an investigation into the property of those who have held positions in government, parliament and public office since 1990, with illegally acquired assets to be nationalized.

He furthermore stated that those responsible for the brutal massacre of Gen Z protesters on 9 September and the destruction of structures of national importance—including Singha Durbar, the major administrative complex in the country, Sheetal Niwas – the president’s residence, the Supreme Court, along with commercial and private properties, must be investigated and punished.
