Speaking to the press after the party’s office-bearers’ meeting on Tuesday, party Vice Chair and spokesperson Agni Sapkota accused the government of taking one unpopular decision one after another. “According to our information, attempts to remove the Deputy Speaker had been ongoing for some time. Now, they have even launched a signature campaign. Let’s see where this leads,” he said.

Sapkota further claimed that the government is moving in the wrong direction in all sectors, including the School Education Bill, and that its undemocratic and authoritarian tendencies are undermining governance, giving room for opposition forces to gain strength.
