KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Mapli crushed Rosebud 8-1 during the third day of the GIHE Football Championship held at Daphakhel Football Ground. Rajan Tangbe registered the opening goal for Malpi in the 4th minute and Sanjay Dharke added another goal a minute later. Saugat Baniya and Sashank Shrestha scored two goals each. Likewise, Karma Tangbe and Manin Shrestha were also on target in the 36th and 52nd minutes. Trashal Sundar scored a consolation goal for Rosebud in the 53rd minute. In other matches, IDEAL HSS thrashed ACE 4-1 and Whitehouse hammered LA 2-1. Mingmar Tenzing from IDEAL HSS completed his hat-trick with the opening goal in the 16th minute, followed by 55th and 64th minutes goals. Laxman Limbu and Bibeak Gurung helped Whitehouse beat LA, scoring goals in the 13th and 55th minute.
