This afternoon, skies are expected to remain generally overcast across the country. Moderate rain is likely in large swathes of the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces; in some pockets of other hilly areas; and a few parts of Madhesh Province and other Terai regions. Heavy downpours may drench one or two spots in the Terai of Lumbini Province, as well as the hilly zones of Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

As night falls, the cloud cover will persist. Moderate rainfall could sweep parts of Madhesh Province, the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and isolated pockets of hilly and Terai areas elsewhere. The MFD has also warned of heavy showers at one or two locations in the hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
