KATHMANDU, July 14 : Loan investment in Karnali Province has seen a significant rise, reaching Rs 59.22 billion, a 25.20 percent increase compared to the previous period, according to Nepal Rastra Bank.
Of the total investment, the service sector received the highest share, with loans increasing by 27.33 percent to reach Rs 50.27 billion. This accounts for 84.89 percent of the total loan disbursed in the province.

In the industrial sector, loan investment rose by 14.95 percent, totaling Rs 3.79 billion. Within this sector, loans to metal production, machinery, and electronics industries showed the highest growth at 29.45 percent, while loans to agriculture, forestry, and beverage production industries declined by 15.29 percent.
In the agriculture sector, loans increased by 14.01 percent, amounting to Rs 5.15 billion. Among agricultural loan categories, the highest investment was under the seeds and seedling category, totaling Rs 11 million.
In terms of district-wise allocation, Surkhet received the highest agricultural loan amount at Rs 1.85 billion, while Mugu received the least, with Rs 137.5 million.
