KATHMANDU, May 3: The westerly and local winds have influenced the weather, with the moisture-laden wind entering from the Bay of Bengal also having its partial influence on the country's weather, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.
The weather is partly to generally cloudy in the hilly region of the country, including in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces, due to this influence, and light rain along with lightning is occurring at one or two places in the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces at present.

It will be generally cloudy in the hilly regions of the country, including Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Lumbini provinces, and partly cloudy in the rest of the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning is likely to occur at a few places in the hilly region, including in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Lumbini provinces and at one or two places in the rest of the country.
Light snowfall is likely to occur at a few places in the mountainous region of the country, the division said.
