Life returns to normalcy after curfew lifted in Jumla

JUMLA, Aug 19: Life in the district returned to normalcy after curfew clamped by local administration since four days was lifted on Wednesday.

The agitating parties and administration reached an agreement to end protest and lift prohibitory order taking Nagpanchami festival into consideration.


People's movement started from 6 am this morning although curfew was rolled backed from 8 am.

Chief District Officer Dipendra Raj Paudel said decision on enforcing curfew will be made tomorrow taking nature of protest into consideration.

Protest demanding autonomous Karnali region has entered eleventh day today.
