Koshi province allocates Rs 2.18 billion for industry, agriculture and cooperatives

KATHMANDU, June 15: The Koshi province government has allocated a budget of Rs 2.18 billion for industry, agriculture, and cooperatives.



Presenting the budget for Fiscal Year 2025/26 in the Provincial Assembly, Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning Ram Rana shared this information. According to him, Rs 100 million has been earmarked to promote the Koshi Tourism Year.

Similarly, the province government has allocated Rs 1.1 billion as grants to local levels. Minister Ram Rana estimated an economic growth rate of 3.3 percent for Koshi in the current FY.


The government has also allocated Rs 140 million as grants for agricultural loans and Rs  220 million for disease control in livestock.
