KATHMANDU, Sep 13: Chairman of Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal (JSP-N), Upendra Yadav, has congratulated newly appointed Prime Minister Sushila Karki on her appointment by the President under the Doctrine of Necessity.
Yadav, also a two-time former Deputy Prime Minister, stated that he and his party stand with her in fulfilling the major responsibility ahead — conducting elections within six months.
JSPN unlikely to withdraw support from ruling coalition

“I assure my continued support, cooperation, and solidarity in your efforts to establish good governance by ending the prevailing disorder, corruption and mismanagement in the country, and in holding elections within the stipulated timeframe,” Yadav said.
President Ram Chandra Paudel, upon the recommendation of Prime Minister Karki, dissolved the Parliament by exercising special powers granted to him by the Constitution for use during times of national crisis on Friday night.
“My heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Honorable Prime Minister Sushila Karki,” Yadav said in a Facebook post. He further stated that the Prime Minister now holds an immensely important responsibility — to protect the achievements of federalism, democracy, and republicanism, and to uphold the Constitution, constitutionalism, and the rule of law.
