Inter-district vehicle passes to be scrapped from tomorrow

KATHMANDU, May 12: Amid rising coronavirus cases in various parts of the country, the Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to scrap all the issued inter-district vehicle passes to be effective from Thursday.

KATHMANDU, May 12: Amid rising coronavirus cases in various parts of the country, the Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to scrap all the issued inter-district vehicle passes to be effective from Thursday.



Kiran Bhattarai, the press advisor to Home Minister, told Republica Online that the inter-district vehicle passes will not be issued from tomorrow unless it is an emergency.

Earlier today, at a Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli instructed the ministers to enforce stricter measures during the ongoing lockdown.


As of Tuesday, the country has witnessed 191 COVID-19 cases with 33 cases of recoveries.
