Indian national held with Rs 1 million of undisclosed source

The Armed Police Force (APF) in Siraha on Friday arrested an Indian national in possession of Rs 1 million in cash, the source of which has not been verified. He was detained from Hospital Chowk in Lahan-3.

SIRAHA, July 26: The Armed Police Force (APF) in Siraha on Friday arrested an Indian national in possession of Rs 1 million in cash, the source of which has not been verified. He was detained from Hospital Chowk in Lahan-3.



The arrested individual has been identified as 24-year-old Rahul Kumar, a resident of Madhubani district in India.

According to APF Superintendent of Police Naresh Bhandari, Kumar was apprehended by a patrol team from the APF's Lahan security base while traveling by bus from Inarwa to Lahan.


As of the time of reporting, preparations were underway to hand over Kumar, along with the seized cash, to the customs office for further investigation.
