Indian national arrested at TIA along with 6.97 kilos of marijuana

According to airport security chief and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Somendra Singh Rathour, the arrested individual has been identified as Bisakh Vijayan, 27, from India.

KATHMANDU, April 15: Police have arrested a man at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with 6.97 kilograms of marijuana.



According to airport security chief and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Somendra Singh Rathour, the arrested individual has been identified as Bisakh Vijayan, 27, from India.

He stated, “The marijuana was discovered during a luggage check after Vijayan arrived in Nepal last night via a Thai Air flight transiting through Bangkok.” Following the seizure, Vijayan was handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau in Koteshwor for further investigation.
