The projects will be carried out through local bodies in Nepal, including metropolitan cities, sub-metropolitan cities, municipalities, and rural municipalities, according to the embassy. These high-impact community development projects (HICDPs) will improve education, health services, and cultural facilities for the people of Nepal.

Since 2003, India has supported over 573 HICDPs in Nepal, including the 10 projects signed today. India has completed 495 projects across all seven provinces of Nepal, focusing on sectors such as education, health, roads and bridges, river training, drinking water, electrification, irrigation, culture, social welfare, and other public utilities. The remaining projects are currently in various stages of implementation.
