KATHMANDU, Aug 18: Visiting Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is holding a group meeting with leaders of the Madhesh-centric parties on Monday. The meeting has been scheduled for 12:30 PM.
Although there is no regular agenda for the discussion, it has been confirmed that a lunch meeting will take place with the Madhesh-centric party leaders. After the meeting, the Foreign Secretary will return to Delhi at 2:30 PM.

Misri, who arrived in Nepal on Sunday morning to invite Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to visit India, completed a series of political meetings on his first day. On Sunday, he met President Ramchandra Paudel, PM Oli, ruling party leader Sher Bahadur Deuba of the Nepali Congress (NC), opposition leader CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and Minister for Foreign Affairs Arzu Deuba Rana.
After meeting PM Oli at Singha Durbar, Misri visited Sheetal Niwas to meet President Paudel, then went to Deuba Residence in Budhanilkantha to meet NC President Deuba. Following that, he met Maoist Centre Chair Dahal at his residence in Khumaltar. These high-level meetings focused on discussions related to bilateral interests between Nepal and India.
Although there was no prior agenda for meetings with Madhesh-centric parties, a lunch meeting has been scheduled, according to sources.
Leaders expected to participate in the meeting include Mahanta Thakur, Upendra Yadav, Rajendra Mahato, C.K. Raut, Hridayesh Tripathi, and Resham Chaudhary.
