KATHMANDU, Aug 17: Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is set to arrive in Kathmandu on Sunday (August 17) for a two-day official visit, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed.
He is visiting Nepal at the friendly invitation of his counterpart, Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai. The trip comes ahead of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s upcoming visit to India and is seen as part of preparations for that engagement.

During the visit, the two foreign secretaries will hold talks covering various aspects of Nepal-India partnership. Discussions are expected to focus on connectivity, development cooperation, and other issues of mutual concern, the ministry said.
Misri is also scheduled to meet high-level political leaders and officials in Kathmandu. The meetings are expected to explore ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.
The Indian foreign secretary will return to New Delhi on Monday after concluding his official engagements.
