Indian Ambassador Srivastava pays courtesy call on PM Karki

The ambassador further pledged to continue India’s support for Nepal’s development and prosperity.

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Tuesday.



During the meeting, held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, the two discussed various matters of bilateral interest and mutual concern, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat.

Prime Minister Karki sought India’s cooperation for the upcoming elections, the primary mandate of the current government. In response, Ambassador Srivastava reaffirmed India’s commitment to support Nepal as a good neighbour, in line with Nepal’s needs.


On the occasion, he also shared that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to have a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Karki on September 18.
