DHARAN, Aug 26: Dharan has become deserted after the district administration office (DAO) Sunsari issued a prohibitory order.
In response to security concerns and ongoing public health crisis, DAO, Sunsari decided to enforce a prohibitory order in Dharan from Friday midnight.

Chief District Officer Humkala Pandey issued a prohibitory order from Friday midnight to Saturday midnight.
The DAO directed all concerned not to hold any programs in Dharan except in coordination with the security agencies for urgent work within the specified time. It also mentioned that action will be taken in accordance with the Local Administration Act, 1971 (2028 BS) if the order is violated.
