KATHMANDU, April 28: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal (RPP Nepal) held a public demonstration in Kathmandu, demanding the immediate release of prisoners of conscience. They also opposed the government's plan to introduce laws banning dissent against secularism and the republic.

RPP Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa, RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden, Nabaraj Subedi of the National Movement Committee for the Restoration of the Monarchy, National Power Nepal Chairman Keshar Bahadur Bista, Shiva Sena Nepal's Anil Baba (Basnet), Rama Singh, and others led the protest.
