KATHMANDU, April 9: The US Embassy in Nepal has issued a warning regarding the dangers of attempting to reach the US border illegally.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the embassy highlighted that such journeys put both security and lives at risk.

The statement reads, "The dangerous journey to unlawfully enter the US puts your safety and life in jeopardy. Criminal groups, cartels, and human traffickers target illegal immigrants, subjecting them to violence, extortion, and assault. Many individuals attempting this journey never reach their destination, causing further financial hardship and shame for their families."
The embassy also mentioned that the US is working with other countries in the West to prevent individuals from reaching the US border illegally and sending them back before they arrive.
"We strengthen our borders to ensure the safety of US citizens and prevent the suffering caused by illegal immigration and human trafficking," the statement added.
