KATHMANDU, April 5: A husband and wife have died in a motorcycle accident in Ratuwamai in Morang district.
According to the District Traffic Police Office, Morang, the accident occurred at around 10 pm on Friday night on the inner road section in Ratuwamai Municipality -6. The motorcycle (Ko 9 Pa 7295) lost control and crashed into an electric pole.

The motorcycle was heading towards Urlabari from Ambari when it lost control. The victims were identified as motorcycle rider, Som Tudu, 42, from Ratuwamai-1 Kalyanpur, and his 35-year-old wife, Bamani Hemram.
Following the accident, locals rushed them to the Rangeli Hospital for treatment, but both succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. Police said that both bodies have been kept at Rangeli Hospital for post-mortem.
Authorities have indicated that the accident occurred due to high speed at night.
