‘Humla No Longer Far’: PM Oli announces road link to Simkot

“For the past 26 years, I have dreamed of connecting Simkot, the district headquarters of Humla—the only remaining district among all 77—to the national road network. That dream is now being fulfilled,” Oli wrote.

KATHMANDU, June 27: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday announced that Simkot, the district headquarters of Humla—the only district yet to be connected to the national road network—will be linked within a few days.



Sharing the update on social media with the message “Humla is no longer far,” PM Oli said his decades-long dream of connecting Humla by road is finally becoming a reality.

“For the past 26 years, I have dreamed of connecting Simkot, the district headquarters of Humla—the only remaining district among all 77—to the national road network. That dream is now being fulfilled,” Oli wrote.


He further stated that once the road becomes operational, Nepal will also be connected to its friendly neighbor, China, through the Hilsa border point.
