While condemning the Tinkune violence, the parliamentary committee also expressed regret over the violence. The committee directed authorities not to allow any kind of gathering, protest or sit-in in and around the Tinkune area to maintain law and order.
Stressing the need for a thorough probe, the committee called on the government to identify both direct and indirect actors involved in the incident and take appropriate legal action. It also urged the authorities to take serious preventive measures to avoid such violence in the future and safeguard Nepal’s Constitution, legal system and the federal democratic republican order.
Additionally, the committee directed the government to allocate the necessary budget to equip Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force (APF) with adequate resources and logistics to maintain peace and security effectively.
