KATHMANDU, Aug 20: The Home Ministry has unveiled a bill formulated to amend and integrate the law on NGO registration, regulation and management with a framework for the concerned stakeholders and the general public.
According to the Home Ministry, the bill has been advanced in consideration of the formulation of a new law to make arrangements regarding registration and management of the organizations.

It is also necessary to maintain good governance in terms of institutional organization, development and operations by mainstreaming the role of organizations active in the social service and development sector in the process of social development, and managing the organizations to make them transparent, accountable, and responsible, it is stated.
Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, after assuming office at the ministry, has advanced several bills laying emphasis on legal and policy reforms of the ministry.
In this connection, the home ministry has made public the bill, keeping 15 days for inputs from the general public.
