According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, all security agencies have been directed, through district security committees, to coordinate closely and strengthen security measures. The move follows Monday’s Generation Z protests, which saw violent clashes. Authorities have already imposed prohibitory orders in designated areas of all three Valley districts—Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.
Home Ministry Spokesperson Anand Kafle expressed sorrow over the incidents and casualties reported in Kathmandu and other parts of the country. He urged students, parents, teachers, civil society and all concerned to remain calm, exercise restraint and help maintain peace during this difficult period.
