KATHMANDU, July 22: Most parts of the country will remain partly to generally cloudy today (Tuesday) due to the influence of monsoon winds.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at several places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, some areas of hilly regions and a few regions in the rest of the country this afternoon. The department has also forecast heavy rainfall at one or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki in these provinces.

Tonight, the weather will continue to remain partly to generally cloudy across the country. The DHM has predicted light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, some hilly areas and a few places in the rest of the country. One or two areas in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki may experience heavy rainfall.
The DHM stated that the country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds, with the monsoon trough lying near its average position.
