KATHMANDU, July 11: The entire country remains under the influence of monsoon winds, with partly to generally cloudy skies forecast throughout the day, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
The monsoon trough lies near its average position in eastern Nepal and slightly north of average in the west. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and scattered rainfall in the rest of the country. Heavy rain is expected at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

During the night, generally cloudy skies are expected in some parts of the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Light to moderate rain with thunder is likely in these areas, with a chance of heavy rain at isolated spots. Light snowfall is also possible in high-hill and mountainous regions.
