KATHMANDU, June 4: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) reports that western and local winds currently influence the western and central parts of the country, while monsoon winds affect most areas of Koshi Province.
This afternoon, clouds will cover much of the country, partly to mostly. Some areas in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with one or two places in other provinces, may receive light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning. The DHM predicts heavy rainfall in one or two places in Koshi Province. Some high mountains and mountainous regions may experience light rain and snowfall.
Heavy rain likely in some parts of the country
Tonight, the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces and other hilly areas, while other regions will remain clear. Some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, along with one or two locations in the hills of other provinces, may get light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning.
The DHM has also predicted heavy rainfall in one or two places in Koshi and Madhesh provinces. Light rain and snowfall may occur in some high mountain and mountainous parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
