Heavy rain clears Kathmandu’s pollution, AQI drops to 46

On Thursday morning, Kathmandu’s Air Quality Index (AQI) measured 46, compared to previous levels that had soared above 200.

KATHMANDU, May 29: Heavy rainfall on Wednesday night significantly reduced pollution in Kathmandu. Once one of the most polluted cities in the world during dry spells, Kathmandu looked clean and beautiful after the rain.



On Thursday morning, Kathmandu’s Air Quality Index (AQI) measured 46, compared to previous levels that had soared above 200.
